Summit — Night Ease™ Red

Red lens glasses, such as the Gloojo Night Ease Red Lens Glasses, are engineered to filter out all blue light and a substantial portion of green light up to 560nm. This coverage is broader than what amber or clear lenses provide, as those typically only filter part of the blue light spectrum. By blocking both blue and green wavelengths, red lenses offer enhanced protection for melatonin production and help maintain a healthy sleep cycle—something amber or clear lenses can’t match.

Red lens glasses are most effective in the evening, especially 1–2 hours before bedtime. They’re ideal for nighttime screen use, reading, or relaxing under artificial lights. Wearing them during this window helps your body prepare for sleep by minimizing exposure to wavelengths that can disrupt your circadian rhythm.

Absolutely. Gloojo offers a fitover version of the Night Ease Red Lens Glasses, specifically designed to be worn comfortably over your existing prescription eyewear. This way, you get the full benefits of blue and green light protection without compromising your vision correction. For those who prefer, single vision prescription lenses in the red tint are also available.

Red lenses do shift your perception of colors, particularly greens and blues, but they maintain clear contrast for tasks like reading or using digital screens. However, they aren’t suitable for driving, as the red tint can make it harder to distinguish traffic lights. For most indoor evening activities, users report that the glasses are both comfortable and effective.

Research and user experiences indicate that red lens glasses like Gloojo Night Ease can support better sleep by helping you fall asleep faster, increasing deep sleep, and improving overall sleep quality. By blocking both blue and green light, they minimize melatonin disruption and help keep your body’s natural sleep rhythm on track.
