Aegis — Night Ease™ Dark Red

Standard blue blockers only filter high-energy blue light (380-450nm) and usually have amber or yellow lenses. However, clinical research shows that green light up to 580nm also severely suppresses melatonin production. The Night Ease™ Dark Red lens is a professional-grade sleep protocol engineered to create a 580nm-600nm precise cut-off, neutralizing 100% of both blue and green light. Because it belongs to Lens Category 4 (VLT ≈3%), it provides maximum darkness and isolation, telling your brain it is entirely dark so melatonin production can surge naturally.

For those struggling to fall asleep, the biggest culprit is evening light exposure, which tricks the body into thinking it’s daytime. By completely eliminating the 380-580nm spectrum, Night Ease™ lenses artificially simulate “biological darkness” for your circadian rhythm. Wearing them 30-60 minutes before bed signals your pineal gland to initiate its natural wind-down protocol, significantly reducing sleep onset latency and helping you transition into restorative, deep sleep cycles much faster.

Yes, it is perfectly safe and highly recommended for late-night screen users. Unlike standard sunglasses, our lenses are Non-Polarized, meaning they will not cause your phone, tablet, or TV screen to distort or black out at certain viewing angles. The dual-layer anti-reflective coating further reduces harsh glare from digital devices, protecting your eyes from sleep-disrupting wavelengths while you read or stream before bed.

Absolutely not for driving. Due to the extreme light-blocking efficiency of Category 4 lenses (VLT ≈3%), these glasses are strictly classified for special purposes and not suitable for driving, operating machinery, or navigating in low-light environments. They are exclusively designed for indoor pre-sleep environments. When walking around your house, ensure your ambient indoor lighting is turned on, and move with caution as your color perception and overall visibility will be significantly altered.

The lenses alter your color spectrum—turning your visual world into shades of red and black—but they do not degrade the sharpness or clarity of your sight. Made from premium, impact-resistant polycarbonate, they maintain excellent optical clarity. Your eyes will naturally adapt to the red tint within a few minutes, allowing you to read or watch screens comfortably while your body prepares for deep sleep.
